The University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo (Italy), founded in 2004 by the international non-profit association Slow Food, offers complete and unique training in food studies.

In its twentieth year since its foundation, 3,800 students from 100 countries have chosen Pollenzo for their programs – from Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees to Master’s degrees – recognizing our university as a dynamic and young institution with a strong international footprint.

Its goal is to create an international research and education center for those working on renewing farming methods, protecting biodiversity, and building an organic relationship between gastronomy and agricultural science.

Among its programs, the Master in Agroecology and Food Sovereignty provides an intensive one-year course focusing on sustainable farming and food systems.

Our students embark on an educational journey that seamlessly blends advanced academic theories with practical, hands-on learning. The curriculum includes six months on campus, followed by three months of immersive field research in agroecological communities. This includes study trips and visits to local farms and food producers, providing a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.

This interdisciplinary approach equips students for leadership roles in policy-making, consultancy, research, and activism, directly impacting shaping and improving sustainable agricultural practices.
